Foods to consume and stay away from during the monsoon season

Incorporate probiotics into your diet and try to stay away from leafy greens and shellfish during the monsoon season.



During the monsoon, it is best to stay away from outside juices and street food because they can infect your stomach.

Dreamy monsoons will soon replace the oppressive summer heat, and while the shift in climate is anticipated to offer much-needed relief from the heat, it may also bring with it a host of illnesses. As your metabolism slows down during the rainy season, digestive problems like gas, acidity, bloating, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, cramping, constipation, gastritis, and gut sensitivity issues are more likely to occur.

Avoid eating raw vegetables: Raw vegetables are full of bacteria and viruses that can cause gastrointestinal issues. Instead, opt for warmed or boiled vegetables.

Drink only boiling water: You should never consume tap water. When going outside during the monsoon for work or other circumstances, try to bring a water bottle with you.

Do not consume seafood: Do you enjoy seafood? You will then need to exercise caution during the monsoon and limit your seafood intake. The water is contaminated during the rainy season, and eating tainted fish may make you sick.

Avoid eating green vegetables: It goes without saying that leafy green veggies are full of all the necessary nutrients. However, they are not advised during the rainy season since the moisture and humidity can attract germs. If you consume these vegetables, you might get sick.
